Dealer News Update

Our dealers recently participated in the 26th Asia Textile International Trade Fair held in Karachi. During this event, they had the opportunity to connect with remarkable individuals and showcased products and innovative solutions tailored for the textile industry. Notably, Maximal forklift was featured at the fair, offering convenient material handling solutions to textile professionals.

Maximal Ranks the Top 9 Forklift Suppliers

In the recent "2023 China Forklift Manufacturers Ranking" by China Forklift Network, Linde (including Baoli), Toyota, Hyster (including Maximal), Jungheinrich, Mitsubishi Logisnext, Crown, Doosan, and Clark rank as the leading 9 foreign forklift manufacturers active in the Chinese market.

Findings:

1.     In terms of sales volume, the top two manufacturers: Anhui Heli and Hangcha performed well in 2023.

2.     Sales by Kion Group (Linde, Baoli), EP, Lonking, BYD, Noblelift, Toyota, Jungheinrich, Hyster-Yale Group (Hyster, Maximal), which ranks second tier of this ranking. The revenue has exceeded RMB 1 billion. For the first time this year, the two major brands of Kion Group, Linde and Baoli, have been merged into the ranking.

3. The total market share of domestic brands of forklifts has exceeded 80%, occupying an absolute dominant position in the market. Heli and Hangcha account for more than 44% of the market share. Except for Heli and Hangcha, domestic brands such as EP, Noblelift, TEU, Mircolift, Huahe, UN and Shanye account for a large proportion of exports.

4.Among foreign brands, the Kion Group, including Linde and Kion Baoli, is still the most dynamic company among foreign forklifts, accounting for about 7% of the industry's market share in 2023, the largest proportion among foreign brands. Among Japanese brands, Mitsubishi's sales declined slightly due to the impact of exports.

In 2023, some companies climbed the rankings, primarily driven by advancements in new energy forklifts and a rise in exports. The industry is embracing high-end development through continuous product structure improvement, with the export market experiencing rapid growth.

New trends and challenges:

The forklift industry has seen several new development trends over the past year:

• Sales continued to rise in 2023, setting new records.

• An accelerated push into the new energy sector by some companies.

• The widespread adoption of automation technology.

• The implementation of data-driven management and optimization strategies.

The past year has been transformative for the industrial vehicle sector, marking a year of achievements while showing the industry's potential and market expansion opportunities. Moving forward, AI technology is expected to drive more opportunities and innovations in the coming years.

This ranking is based on the sales revenue of each brand manufacturer's motorized industrial vehicles (excluding semi-electric stacker and hand pallets) in that year and is for reference only.
