Mr. Barry Su, one of the founders and shareholders of Zhejiang Maximal Forklift Co., Ltd., holds an MBA from Zhejiang University and has been in the forklift industry for over 20 years. He has accumulated extensive experience in factory management, product development, corporate operations, and international business negotiation.

Career Milestones

2004-2006

Worked at Zhejiang Hangcha Imp & Exp Co., Ltd. as a Southeast Asia project manager, achieving significant sales success in the region.

2006

Co-founded Zhejiang Maximal Forklift Co., Ltd. and continues to serve as a shareholder. Under his leadership

2007-2010

Maximal became the third-largest forklift exporter in China, earning the reputation of an industry "dark horse."

2010-2013

Led the development of 2WD and 4WD rough terrain forklifts, introducing China’s first hydraulic 4WD system with multiple technical patents.

2013

Partnered with Sir Neville Bowman-Shaw DL to introduce the SAMUK brand to China, establishing Hangzhou SAMUK Forklift Co., Ltd., where Mr. Barry Su served as General Manager. In the same year, Mr. Barry Su was promoted to Special Assistant to the Chairman and Vice President of Operations, where he participated in factory operation management and was in charge of production, administrative personnel, quality control, and purchasing departments.

2015-2019

Mr. Barry Su was fully responsible for the HYUNDAI forklift ODM project cooperation. During the cooperation, the two parties reached an extensive consensus on business terms, product development, quality management and delivery management, and established a good partnership.

2015-2018

Managed the acquisition of Maximal by the Hyster-Yale Group, which acquired 75% ownership. Mr. Barry Su became a shareholder and Vice President of Operations for the joint venture HYM.

2021

Following reorganization, Mr. Barry Su established Zhejiang Maximal Imp & Exp Co., Ltd., focusing on international markets.

2021-2023

Developed a new generation of compact tele-trucks, received over 200 orders across North American and European markets.

2024

Founded Zhejiang Maxlion Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., with the MAXLION brand successfully registered in more than a dozen countries.Construction of a new factory began in July 2024 in the Haining High-tech Zone.

October 2024

Launched the MASS system to enhance after-sales service, including spare parts procurement, customer support, and data management.

August 2025

New factory Zhejiang Maxlion Forklift Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was officially put into use.
With a total investment of RMB 120 million, the factory covers an area of approximately 20,000 square meters and is planned to achieve an annual production capacity of 8,000 units of new energy and specialized forklifts.

Delivered the first 10-ton forklift, expanding MAXLION’s product portfolio into the heavy-duty segment and marking a key milestone in large-capacity equipment development

January 2026

The new ERP system was officially launched, strengthening digital management across production, supply chain, and operations, and supporting scalable and efficient manufacturing.

The first complete unit from the new painting production line was successfully completed, signaling the official commissioning of the coating line and enhanced surface treatment capability.

The first 5-ton forklift from the new 4.5–5.5-ton series was successfully rolled off the line, marking the launch of a new mid-capacity product range for global markets.

June 2026

Approved Enviromental Management Certificate, Occuptionational Health and Safety Mangament Syestem Certificate.
